So, this morning started out just like any other monday morning..
I hit snooze on my alarm about 4 times, then finally decided to try and wake up for work.. I usually just stay downstairs, but this morning I decided to just lay on the couch upstairs to "wake up" a little more..
So my dad rushed down the hall, said "have a good day" like he usually does, and ran out the door.. then Rudy started attacking my arm. As I was trying to fight her off and get a few more minutes of "resting my eyes" in, my dad rushes back in the house
he ran down the hall yelling for my mom.. I thought that was a little strange, so I go down the hall to find my dad on the ground.
He got up and barely got to his bed. He was just laying there and complaining that he was SO dizzy and that the room was spinning, and he started sweating like CRAZY.
So, I'm sittin here watching my dad and freaking out.. My mom is calm as ever and just calls my neighbor who is a nurse.
She told her about my dad's symptoms and asked if it would be a good idea to take him into the ER
We decided we might as well just take him in, so my mom pulled the van out of the garage and went to help my dad up..
Well, my dad could barely sit up on his own he was so dizzy.. So my mom's like... UGH Kurt. that's it, I'm calling 911.
So at this point i'm REALLY freaking out.
I had NO clue what was wrong, and my dad was acting like his brain had exploded, the way he was complaining and groaning.
You can imagine what was going through my mind, only the worst of course..
Long story short, about 3 minutes later.. I heard the sirens.
3 police cars, 1 fire truck and 1 ambulance later, my dad was rushed to the hospital.
Another 3 hours or so later my dad was on his way home from the hospital.. He just had vertigo.
It was amazing how quickly our neighbors and friends were there surrounding us ready to help out.
There were people there to give my dad a blessing
Others offering to keep us kids company
Some were just giving us hugs
I'm just so thankful for so many caring and loving people in my life! I feel truly blessed today. It was a scary time but good to know that if anything serious should happen that my family is in good hands!
Thank you, everyone. I love you all and appreciate you so much, you've no idea!

That's really very scary. I'm so glad he's alright now--and that that neighborhood rocks! :)
